The University of Miami Office of Sustainability and Coca-Cola are proud to award users unique sustainable prizes for earning leaves in the GetGreen GreenU app.
GetGreen is a mobile app that helps individuals and communities reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and live more sustainably. The application has been customized for GreenU by GetGreen and the University of Miami Office of Sustainability.
The Building Sustainability Dashboard that the GreenU Webpage provides will allow us to keep track of progress week by week! Providing information on each building's usage of electricity, natural gas, and water over the past 8 years, the dashboard will ultimately determine the winning residential college. The office of sustainability will determine each building’s average usage of each utility during the month of October throughout the past 3 years. Residents will make small but impactful changes to their living habits to try to achieve the highest percentage reduction from the 3-year average in hopes of winning (and, of course, reducing their ecological footprint).
All users who earn 50 leaves in the GetGreenU mobile application will win a Harvest Straw Cutlery Set. This handy wheat straw cutlery set includes a knife, fork and spoon. Fully reusable and eco-friendly, this set helps reduce the use of disposable plastics.
All users who earn 100 leaves in the GetGreenU mobile application will win a Recycled Boxy 9 Lunch Cooler. The cooler has a zipped insulated compartment, a front pocket and an adjustable strap for easy carrying. The exterior is made from eco-friendly rPET.
